I think that the intensity of it all is what makes it really great. The more intense it gets, the more exciting and suspenseful it gets. The cool thing about debate class is that it’s not one where the teacher gets up there and starts droning on and on and on, it’s something where the kids teach themselves. The kids research, finding important things to help themselves and then they tuck it into a file in their brain. - Dani 6th Grade

Debate club is different from other classes because instead of getting work assigned to us and doing it at home, we assign a topic and research it and then we come to class to debate. We know that class will be interesting and exciting. Debating is a good experience because it keeps me up with current events and helps me learn about what is happening and has happened around the world. I also develop better public speaking and listening skills and become better at processing information quickly in order to think of arguments. I have gotten a lot out of debate club and I am glad that I took this class. - Kimi 10th grade
