The SAT juniors class emphasizes skill-building in critical reading, math problem-solving, and academic writing. By focusing on laying a strong foundation, we prepare students to do well on standardized tests and in their future academic careers.
By studying with the SAT juniors class, students can get a head-start on the SAT, and they can build the confidence and skills necessary to do well on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), potentially qualifying for the NMSC scholarship program!
In class, we focus on building students' vocabulary with weekly vocab lists and quizzes. We also work on reading comprehension, with newspaper articles and short passage analysis. Math and grammar are both covered with weekly lessons and exercises. Finally, essay writing is a large part of the program, and students can plan on writing or revising an SAT-style essay each week.
